PreSeason Alicante 2024
Come and join us in Alicante for an unforgettable week of training and fun in the Spanish sun! We are heading back to the beautiful Playa de San Juan for five days of high-quality pre-season training designed to get you firing on all cylinders ready for the 2024 summer.
The camp is open to players from across the UK and beyond looking to push on with their volleyball in 2024. There’s training every day, a mini tournament, pre-season fitness training and theory sessions to help master the tactical side of the game. As well as that, we have a midweek trip to the castle, a relaxing spa session and an end-of-camp dinner planned, too!
This year, we are delighted to be able to offer a half-board package in the fantastic 3-star Hotel Castilla, located a short 3 minute walk away from the beach. Breakfast and lunch are included in the offer for those that choose this option, leaving you free to sample the local restaurants in the evening. Full board can be added on request for an extra fee.

Timetable
Hotel Castilla is a fantastic 3* hotel set just in from the sea at Playa San Juan, in Alicante. The hotel has a swimming pool, single, double, triple and family rooms, and is just a short walk away from the beach.
Players who choose our full and pay & play packages get half board (breakfast and lunch) catering plus a shared twin superior room.
Anyone wishing to have an individual room can do so for an extra £120 – please email us to request this.
You can also upgrade to a premium room on request for an extra fee – please contact us if you want more details.

We will be playing next to the distinctive multi-coloured beach huts on the sand of the beautiful Playa de San Juan, Alicante’s mecca for beach volleyball. We are working with local club Arena Voley Playa, who will help us by providing equipment and maintaining the nets and courts to provide a perfect training environment. The sea is just a 20m run from the courts for a post-training dip, there is a café right next door to sit and have food or a drink when you aren’t playing. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the courts and there is a tram station right next door with regular trams into the city.
There are regular flights from all over Europe to Alicante airport. Once you have landed, you have two options:
1. Taxi/transfer. This takes around 30 minutes and costs around €40 each way (we recommend you share, we will set up a WhatsApp group in advance to help organise this)
2. Airport bus -> Tram. You can take the C6 airport bus to the town centre, followed by a tram or bus to Playa San Juan. This costs around €10 per person and takes just over an hour, depending on the connection.
The camp is open to players with at least 2 years’ volleyball experience who regularly play tournaments. All ages are welcome!
We pride ourselves on the quality of our coaching. We have a maximum group size of 8 players per lead coach to make sure you get lots of feedback, ball touches and chances to improve. All our coaches are highly trained and experienced.
We work hard to make this the perfect camp for players who want a more focussed volleyball experience but want to feel like they are on holiday at the same time: play hard, chill hard!
We will drop you into a group of a suitable level based on your experience, results and the information you tell us on the sign-up form.
If you are coming as a group and want to train together, that’s great – you have a chance to let us know that on the sign-up form too!
If you’re coming as an individual, no problem. We will slot you into a group that suits you.
We send out the preliminary groups the week before the camp for you to see and check. There may be some changes to the groups within the first couple of days to make sure everyone gets the most out of their week and is training with an appropriate level.
