Our Southwest Series Finals is here! It’s the culmination of a whole season of sweat, sand and (some) sun, finishing up on Welsh sand at Cardiff Beach Volleyball.
We have a whole-new format for this year and can’t wait to get cracking! Here are the details:
Saturday 23rd September: The Showdown
The single gender action will all take place on Saturday this year. There will be two divisions of 8 teams (Elite and Challenger) per gender, based on your team’s Southwest Series points. Winners of the Elite win £200 of prize money, plus customised Southwest Series tops. Challenger winners win customised Southwest Series tops.
Sunday 24th September: Mixed and Juniors
Mixed:
Sunday is our mixed Showdown! The top 20 teams based on Southwest Series mixed rankings will head into the mixed showdown. This will be run on the king of the court format all day, with a minimum of 4 rounds per team. It’s fun, fast-paced, social and a great way to finish the season! Winners get customised Southwest Series winners tops.
Juniors
We will be running our junior finals on the Sunday. The top 8 pairs per gender will battle it out on Cardiff sands, with semis and the final played on centre court. We are super excited to see some of the top juniors in the country fighting it out to be crowned Southwest junior champion! Winners get customised Southwest Series winners tops.
