Brand new for 2026, Fireball are teaming up with Brighton-based Hustle and Bounce to bring you The Fireball Bounce from May 22nd-25th. We’ve put our heads together to design a beach volleyballer’s ultimate summer weekend. Think days filled with unlimited beach volleyball, daily yoga sessions, sea dips, great food, sauna, daily tournaments & training sessions; evenings packed with music, games, socialising and unwinding in our massive strecth tent. All set in the beautiful North Devon seaside village of Croyde, with camping just two minutes from the beach and views of the surf.

The Fireball Bounce will take place in Croyde – a North Devon seaside paradise with rugged coastline, a beautiful sandy beach, a great surf break and unlimited beach volleyball courts. Awesome.
All our on-court activities will take place on the beach, while we will be putting up a 150-capacity stretch tent at our partner campsite, Freshwell, for all the off-court activities. Freshwell is just a five minute walk to the courts, located just at the edge of the beach and with views over the bay, great facilities and a range of food options and a bar on site. The Fireball Bounce is an exciting collaboration between Fireball Beach Volleyball and Hustle&Bounce. Founders Sam Dunbavin and Will Paton have combined their skills to produce an event that both of them have been dreaming about for a long time. Will brings a background in events and music, while Sam brings a deep knowledge of the beach volleyball community. Here’s a little bit about both organisations.
Fireball Beach Volleyball
Founded by Sam Dunbavin back in 2020, Fireball Beach Volleyball is built around creating high quality beach volleyball events with a massive focus on the community. We are all about bringing people together to share in the wonderful moments that our sport creates. The Fireball Bounce is an exciting project to put that ethos into practise – creating a weekend where the whole community comes together to play, compete, chill and party. Awesome.
Hustle&Bounce
Hustle&Bounce is a growing community-driven beach volleyball entity that is the vision of founder Will Paton. After experiencing the positive life changing influence of the game and it’s associated lifestyle, Will wanted to share his epiphany with more people. Hustle&Bounce is very much about celebrating the mental health benefits of beach volleyball (through a rebellious lens) with the message of ‘good vibes only’. Love, encouragement and connection are the Hustle&Bounce keystones on and around the court.
Hustle&Bounce holds many tournaments, volleyball trips and social events (music is a big part given Will’s past musician/DJ/events career) and aims to provide whatever the community would like to see happen. The collaboration with Fireball is a perfect fit for a fun, exciting and connected future for beach volleyball players around the world. This is just the beginning.

Camping at Freshwell
When you book you can choose to add camping to your ticket package for £60 per person for a spot at Freshwell. We’ve reserved an entire field of the campsite just for the festival and will be setting up our big event tent there on site. Freshwell is just a 2 minute walk onto the sand and five minutes from our playing area.
Freshwell has great facilities: hot showers, an on-site bar and food options, outdoor seating areas, free parking, a wetsuit washing station and the option to cater for campervans. It’s ‘free-range’ camping, where you can pick your own spot to camp-so you can make a camp circle with your buddies when you arrive. The £60 covers you for a Friday night arrival and a Monday afternoon departure. Please note that Freshwell can’t cater for motorhomes or caravans.
Other options
There are lots of Airbnbs around Croyde for those looking for a more luxurious stay, while John Fowler’s Ruda resort also have chalets available just a short walk from Freshwell. We recommend being on the north side of Croyde to reduce the distance from the event tent!
The festival programme is PACKED with activities to get involved with. Everyone gets access to our tournaments, lifestyle and social events, while you can choose the number of trainings you’d like to join when you select your festival package. Check out the daily plan below.
Friday 22nd May
Friday is arrival day! We will have staff in the event tent to check you in, give you your wristband and goodybag, give you any Croyde pointers you need and help you out orientate yourself around the camp. For those who can arrive earlier you have the chance to challenge our coaches to a game; anyone who beats them wins a prize! We round the evening off with an acoustic set at Freshwell, where you can grab some street food from one of the vendors.

- Challenge a coach! Free play & games with the coaches @ the beach from 5-7:30
- Acoustic set @ the event tent from 8pm
Saturday 23rd May
Saturday starts bright and early with yoga for those who want to join in our stretch tent. Those in our Phoenix and Hustle tiers have training in the morning; anyone in Bounce tier has the chance to explore Croyde, go for a hike around Baggy, have a sea dip or, of course, challenge other bouncers to a game! In the afternoon we test everyone with our Scramble tournament – you get a new partner every round, with every point all important for the overall win. Make sure you stick around afterwards for our exhibition game, where our coaches put on a show for you! Then you have a couple of hours to get your glad rags and dancing shoes on for an amazing night of entertainment courtesy of our friends from 41 sessions in our event tent. Expect pumping beats, flashing lights, a full dancefloor and an electric atmosphere as our stretch tent becomes a nightclub for the evening.
- Stretch & Shine – early morning yoga in the event tent, 8-8:45
- Beach Volleyball Training – 2 x sessions for Phoenix tier, 1 x session for Hustle tier, 9-1:30
- Scramble Tournament – Fast-paced action testing your versatility and partner skills. 2-5pm
- Exhibition Match – Coaches put on a show from 5-6pm
- 41 Sessions – club session from 7:30-11pm in the event tent
Sunday 24th May
Sunday kicks off with a mobility session and a sea dip for early risers, before a training session for our phoenix (2 hours) and hustle (1.5 hours) tiers. It’s then time to get your game face on for our camp tournament from 12:30-6. This is a pairs tournament – we will help everyone find a pair and have lots of different tournament levels for you to choose from. Expect competitive action with a friendly atmosphere, some epic prizes and great quality volleyball! After working your socks off all afternoon it’s time to wind down with a sauna session at Freshwell – everyone will have the chance to book a 30 minute sauna slot from 6 to 9pm. Epic. We’ll also have the barbecue on for you to get stuck into, before starting up the music again for our community evening. This will see people from across our volleyball community playing for us until 11 in a relaxed, informal night’s entertainment. Awesome. - Community night – Contributions from across the volleyball community in a chilled out evening of eclectic entertainment. 8-11 in the event tent.
Monday 25th May
The final day of the festival sees us going out with a flourish! We have yoga to start the day right, followed by a training session for our Phoenix tier or a chance for free play / sightseeing / hiking / lie-in / pack-up for everyone else. We then wrap the festival up with two hours of hilarity with our fancy-dress Queen and King of the Court tournament. This is a mixed pairs event. There’s prizes for the best dressed and the winners, with laughter, ridiculousness and great volleyball guaranteed. Fancy dress is optional, we will have some gear that you can borrow! We will close the festival with a big group shout at the beach at 2:30, before everyone disperses – until next year!

Sam Dunbavin will be the head coach for the festival. Sam is one of the top coaches in the UK and has coached teams on the Beach Volleyball World Tour, as well as being a current Volleyball England junior coach.
Niko Gleed is one of England’s top players. He has recently won professional tour events in New Zealand and Finland and competed last year alongside Enrique Bello on the World Tour.
Kirsty Star is another England star player. She grew up in the USA before crossing the pond to compete for England, and spent last summer dominating on both the UK tour and internationally for England.
Danny Mulford is a home-grown Croyde legend. He is head coach of the North Devon club and has been working for Fireball for several years. He has a calm presence and is exceptional at helping players improve their game.

Organise your mates! If you book as a group of 8 or more then you get one festival ticket of your choice completely free.* One person has to book all the spots for their group. The eight tickets can all be in different tiers and club discounts can also be used alongside this deal.

I’m a complete beginner – can I still come?
Yes! We love beginners! We are a friendly, welcoming bunch and we will have a specific beginners group just for you to join in with. Plus, our beginners often get paired with coaches for the tournaments to give them a chance!
I have extra people who want to come but not do the festival – is that OK?
Yes, that is fine! They won’t be able to join in any of the ticketed festival activities – ie the sauna, yoga, volleyball, and the Saturday night music. They can join everything else and we can book a campsite spot for them at the following rates:

- Junior 5+ – £51
- Under 5 – Free

I want to bring my family – is that OK?
Yes, of course! The more, the merrier. There is a separate camping area for families if you would like to be placed there. We can book your family in for a camping spot – please note the following costs:
- Age 11+ – £60
- Junior 5+ – £51
- Under 5 – Free
To book extras for camping please email hello@fireballbeachvolleyball.com. They won’t be able to join in any of the ticketed festival activities – ie the sauna, yoga, volleyball, and the Saturday night music.
I’m under 18 but I want to come – is that possible?
Yes! That is possible! We would issue you with an under-18 wristband. This would mean that you couldn’t access the sauna without a supervising adult and that you can’t be served alcohol. Otherwise, you will be able to join in with everything!
Can I use the courts for free play when I’m not training?
Yes! There will always be courts available for free play (except during tournament times). The courts will always be prioritised for use by players with a festival wristband.
