The concept
Founded in 2019 by England international player and coach Sam Dunbavin, Fireball is focused on delivering high quality beach volleyball events with a community feel. We love to share those amazing beach moments with you. Whether it’s winding down at sunset after a day of training camp or celebrating your first ever tournament win, we’d love you to come and join the #FireballFamily.

Welcome to our Fireball Junior Series! These are junior UKBT events designed for junior players of all levels, perfect for young players looking to improve their beach volleyball game and compete against their peers. They are excellent chances to play against junior players of similar ages in a friendly, welcoming but competitive environment.

New for 2025: we have added 12 adult spots to our amazing Easter beach camp for two adult groups of just six players! We are looking forward to having you join us in Croyde. We’ve got some fantastic coaches lined up to work with you to improve your game and set you up ready for the 2025 beach volleyball season.
Easter Junior Camp – Croyde

Come and join us this Easter for an amazing beach volleyball experience! After a fantastic first year in 2024 our Easter camp is back with a bang for 2025. The camp is open to young players from age 10 to 17, and will have a mixture of different groups of different levels. Over the four days we will give your child a beach volleyball experience to remember, with two training sessions per day from expert Fireball coaches, as well as trips to the local swimming pool, film and games nights, free play sessions and our iconic camp tournament on the final day!
London Series

Our London Series 2* and 3* UKBT events are perfect for beach volleyball players with some experience looking for a fun, friendly but competitive day of action in London! We strictly limit our numbers to 8 teams per gender to guarantee a high quality volleyball experience, with 5 matches per team guaranteed. You should expect to arrive at Kidbrooke for 9:30am to start playing at 10am, with a projected finish time of 5-6pm.

Cardiff Open 2025

Welcome to the Cardiff Open! Back for more in 2025, this has swiftly become one of the UK beach volleyball calendar, with players battling it out over a weekend to get their hands on the iconic dragon trophy and get their names on the Cardiff Open hall of fame. This UK Beach Tour Open event follows the gruelling Double Elimination format, with 24 spots available per gender. Quarterfinals and onwards will take place on the Sunday. Entry is based on UKBT points on Monday 12th May, with the confirmed entry list sent out that evening.

Fireball was started in 2019 by England beach volleyball player and coach Sam Dunbavin to grow the beach volleyball game and bring his passion to more people. That remains our ethos: to eliver high quality beach volleyball coaching and events across the UK.
We run regular beach volleyball training and events at the sites we use in Cardiff, London and North Devon. On top of that, we run tournaments, coaching camps and exhibitions at further venues throughout the summer. More details on all our venues below.
We aim to run events for players of all different levels and backgrounds. We have elite tournaments for the country’s best players and beginner training sessions for players just finding their feet in the game. If you are new to the game or aren’t sure whether an event is right for you, do just email us.
