Welcome to the Southwest Series! Running since 2021, this is the region’s premier beach volleyball series, designed to provide a high quality, accessible and welcoming playing experience for players of all levels. Read on below for more details.
You should expect to beat the beach for 9am for a 9:30am start time for most of our events. We will send out a full schedule with a live draw and venue information in the week before the tournament. Please make sure you read this carefully as event formats can change week on week depending on entries. In Southwest Series Round 1 we are looking forward to returning to Cardiff. Read below for specific event details.
Saturday is Men’s & Women’s Pairs. This is a 3* UKBT tournament. We will play pool games followed by single elimination and place play-offs, guaranteeing you at least 5 games. You need a valid UKBT membership to play. We welcome teams of all levels to these events.
Sunday is Mixed Pairs. This is not a UKBT event, so you don’t need a UKBT membership to enter. Our mixed events are fun, relaxed and friendly. Players of all levels are welcome.
Every Southwest Series event you play earns you points to help you qualify for Fireball’s iconic Southwest Series finals in August. It’s an amazing event and we’d love to have you join us!

Cancellation Policy
Our cancellation policy can be found here. Our events will go on in most weathers – so please be prepared to come along! Pulling out due to rain or cold on the day will not be treated as an acceptable excuse, and you will not receive money back.
If the event is cancelled for any reason, you will receive a full refund.
If your circumstances change and you cannot attend, please let us know with 48 hours notice to receive a full refund. Between 48 hours and the event start time, you will received a half refund; after the event start time you will not receive a refund.

All pre-event communication, schedule and seedings will go out through our Fireball Events Spond app. You can also use Spond to help find someone to play with and ask any questions.
