Spring Camp, Croyde
We can’t wait to welcome you to our all new Spring Camp in Croyde! After the phenomenal success of our summer camp, we are excited to offer a 4-day / 3-night holiday camp in stunning North Devon during the school Easter holidays from the 11th-14th April 2024.
Our holiday camps are fantastic opportunities for young people to have a great time, meet new friends and try out new things, all while improving their beach volleyball game with access to exceptional coaching. As well as playing four hours of volleyball each day, everyone will take part in an outdoor games and bonfire session, a cooking lesson, a water park trip and (for the brave) a cold sea dip!
We’ve also got lots of evening entertainment lined up, including a film night and an interactive murder mystery…

We will organise participants into four training groups, dependant on age and playing level. Every group will have a lead coach that will do all the activities with them through the four days. The timetable for each playing group will be slightly different. This will be communicated with players ahead of the event.
Parents should expect to drop of their child at Croyde Village Green courts (location details below) around 10-11am on 11th April and to pick them up around 3:30pm at the same place.
St George’s House is a Christian outdoor bounds centre located in Georgeham, just a 5 minute drive up the road from our courts in Croyde. St George’s House welcomes big groups like ours all year round, and is an absolutely perfect spot for our group to stay.
The players will stay in single-gender dormitories. Room sizes vary between two to ten people per room – we will send out a room request survey prior to the camp. They just need to bring a pillow and duvet cover/sleeping bag.
The centre has a volleyball court, climbing wall, rope swings and outdoor area, a pool table, a games room and a film room, as well as a professional kitchen and dining room. The young people will be expected to take turns hleping with the cleaning and with dinner.
The volleyball will take place at our sheltered inland venue at the Croyde Village Green. We have two fantastic beach courts there surrounded by netting and trees to protect them from wind. We will set up shelter there for the four days in case of any bad weather. The players should be picked up and dropped off there. Location details are:
By Car
Parents are asked to drop off their child between 11 and 11:30 at Croyde Village Green on the 11th and pick them up from the same location between 3 and 3:30pm on the 14th.
By Train
We offer a pick-up service to and from Barnstaple Train Station. Please ensure your child books the train arriving at 10:28 in Barnstaple on the 11th and leaving at 16:30 on the 14th.
The camp is open to players from age 13 to 19. We recommend that you have at least some volleyball experience or are generally sporty and active. We split the groups up according to age and ability.
Players aged 18-19 are welcome but should be aware that we have a zero-tolerance policy of alcohol, smoking and drugs for the duration of the camp.
We will drop you into a group of a suitable level based on your experience, age and the information you tell us on the sign-up form.
If you have friends that are coming and would like to train with them, we will do our best to accommodate that.
If you’re coming as an individual, no problem. We will slot you into a group that suits you.
We send out the preliminary groups the week before the camp for you to see and check. There may be some changes to the groups within the first days to make sure everyone gets the most out of their week and is training with an appropriate level.
