We can’t wait to welcome you to our Summer Camp in Croyde! Now in its third year, we run amazing summer camps for young people in the beautiful Devon coastal village of Croyde. Young people on the camp will play beach volleyball every day as well as doing activities such as kayaking, ringo riding, surfing and coasteering. We provide home-cooked meals for everyone and have a whole team of DBS checked, fully trained staff working with them all week.
The standard camp is open to juniors aged 11-17, who will be staying at the fabulous outdoor adventure centre St George’s House.
New for 2024 we are now welcoming young adults aged 18-22, who will be staying at Ruda Parkdean, just next to the beach in Croyde.

We split the participants into training groups based on their playing ability that will remain fairly constant for the whole week. These groups will be communicated in advance by head coach Sam Dunbavin. They then do activities and training in these groups.
Each evening we do whole group activities for our juniors. The young adults are invited to join if they wish.
The activity centre will be running adventure activities for the whole group at different times. Exact options will be determined by the weather and surf conditions in the week, but potential options include ring riding, kayaking, surfing, coasteering and climbing.
St George’s House
St George’s House is a Christian outdoor bounds centre located in Georgeham, just a 5 minute drive up the road from our courts in Croyde. St George’s House welcomes big groups like ours all year round, and is an absolutely perfect spot for our group to stay.
The players will stay in single-gender dormitories. Room sizes vary between two to ten people per room – we will send out a room request survey prior to the camp. They just need to bring a pillow and duvet cover/sleeping bag.
The centre has a volleyball court, climbing wall, rope swings and outdoor area, a pool table, a games room and a film room, as well as a professional kitchen and dining room. The young people will be expected to take turns hleping with the cleaning and with dinner.
Ruda Parkdean
Ruda Parkdean is situated just a two minute walk from the beach at Croyde, meaning that the young adults can roll out of bed and walk straight to training each morning! We will have safeguarding staff staying on site in a separate caravan and have space for six young adults per caravan.
Each caravan has 2 x twin rooms, a double bed and a sofa bed.
Supplies will be provided for the young adults to make their own breakfast and lunch each day, while their home cooked dinner will be brought down and delivered to each caravan every evening by our staff for them to eat when they want it. Staff will be around to help with this.
All bed linen is provided for the young adults.
The young adults will be expected to look after the caravans, which will be checked through the week.
The volleyball will take place on Croyde Beach, where we will have ten beach volleyball nets up. Collection will be either from the beach OR from the Ruda Parkdean car park.
All participants should be dropped at St George’s House in Georgeham between 2 and 5pm. We will then take the young adults down to their accommodation.
We also offer a pick up and drop off option from Barnstaple train station. We will communicate train times in advance.

By Train
We offer a pick-up service to and from Barnstaple Train Station. We will communicate the specific trains closer to the time of the camp.
The camp is open to volleyball enthusiasts between 11 and 22 years old. Any experience level is welcome. We allocate rooms according to gender, age and player requests to make sure everyone has a great time.

We will drop you into a group of a suitable level based on your experience, age and the information you tell us on the sign-up form.
If you have friends that are coming and would like to train with them, we will do our best to accommodate that.
If you’re coming as an individual, no problem. We will slot you into a group that suits you.
We send out the preliminary groups the week before the camp for you to see and check. There may be some changes to the groups within the first days to make sure everyone gets the most out of their week and is training with an appropriate level.

B) Split the payment over four monthly payments (£15 admin and processing fee applies)
We pride ourselves on having high-quality, well trained coaches deliver all our sessions. All our coaches for our camps are thoroughly trained and have undergone full safeguarding checks and training to deliver a safe, fun and productive camp.

The camp is full-board; we will provide breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for the young people. We can cater for all dietary requirements with prior knowledge.
Breakfast
Breakfast is self-service with different options each day. These include yoghurt and fruit, cereal, granola, toast, porridge, eggs and more. Young adults will be provided with breakfast food to prepare themelves each day.
Lunch
The young people make their own packed lunch each day, with unlimited sandwiches and fillings, snacks, fruit, cake and leftovers on offer. We take some reserve snacks in case they get hungry. Young adults will have a whole range of fillings in their caravans to make lunch.
Snacks
When they get home from training and activities we have snacks ready for them-hot chocolate, cake and more. We will provide snacks for young adults.
Dinner
We provide a home-cooked dinner by our on site cook, plus a dessert each day. See below for 2023’s menu for reference. Young adults will be provided with dinner in their caravans each day, brought down from the kitchen at St George’s House.

- Sloppy Joes with jacket potato with corn on the cob and crunchy slaw
Monday:
- Curry night: Sweet potato, chickpea and spinach curry / Chicken curry with rice, naan bread, yoghurt and cucumber
Tuesday:
- Lasagne/Veggie lasagne with garlic bread and side salad
Wednesday:
- Fajitas with chicken or quorn, mexican vegetables, lettuce, salsa, guacamole, cheese
Thursday:
- Build your own burger. Hot dogs / burgers / veggie alternatives, with coleslaw, salad, tomatoes etc.
