Summer-Long Placements
Sports Marketing Intern
We are on the lookout for a sports marketing intern. This person is plugged in and should be keen to produce engaging, exciting content for our beach volleyball events. This would include creating graphics on Canva, editing and putting together reels for TikTok, Facebook and Instagram, aiding us in putting together our e-newsletter and posting updates from events for our stories.
This is an unpaid internship but offers the following benefits:
- Expenses paid to attend events
- Weekly training calls with Fireball CEO Sam Dunbavin
- Canva membership and access to all Fireball IT suite
- Investment in candidate’s CPD during the internship (eg enrolment in courses).

Event Administration and Setup Internship
We are looking for someone passionate about sports events and looking to gain experience in setting up and running sports events to help us deliver our Southwest Series and other events across the Southwest and Wales. The intern would work with Fireball staff Danny and Sam to set up and deliver our beach volleyball events at beaches across the region. The work is mainly at weekends through the summer, though they would not be expected to attend all events. They would be expected to help put up courts, take videos and photos, process and input results, talk to clients, sell merchandise and more.
In return, they get:

- Ongoing training and experience
- Regular training meetings with Sam and Danny
- Free first aid and safegaurding training
- Investment in further CPD (eg assistant coach award enrolment)

Corporate Partner Intern
We are looking for someone to help drive interest from and create partnerships with companies and organisations. This is an unpaid internship with benefits. This role would suit someone organised and driven with excellent communciation and presentation skills. Responsibilities would include:
- Creating and sending out a partner package to send to companies for sponsorship of our key events and series.
- Driving bookings for corporates, including team building events, summer socials, birthday events and more.
- Being part of the event staff for these events (optional)

Specific Event Placements
For our key summer events we are on the lookout for interns to help make the events special and to bring our clients’ event experience alive. We would love to hear from you if you want to fill any of the roles listed for the dates below. Priority will be given to candidates that can attend multiple events. These events play host to some of the top players in the UK.
- Cardiff Open – 18/19 May
- Croyde Open – 1/2 June
- Croyde Summer Camp & King and Queen of the Beach – 17-25 August
- Southwest Series Finals – 21-22 September

Position 1: Event Content Creator
We are looking for someone to help us generate high-quality content at these events. This would mean cerating great canva graphics with updates on the event, creating highlight and promotion reels and videos, and bringing the events to life on our social media (TikTok, Insta, Facebook). It’s a role you can bring your own flare to and we welcome people with fun, exciting ideas.
Position 2: Event Videographer
We would love to put together longer videos of each of these events, to tell a story about it and send it out to our clients after, to use them to promote the events in the future. We provide a spec and feedback on what we want and you get the scope to go out and deliver it. It’s perfect for someone looking to put together high-quality pieces for their portfolio.
Position 3: Sports Event Administration and Setup Intern
We are looking for hard-working people to be part of our event administration staff. This would involve helping dress the venues, welcoming clients, taking and processing results, announcing coming games, adjusting and running live streams and generally anything that the events need doing! It’s a perfect role for people looking to get hands-on experience and knowledge in what it takes to run high level beach volleyball and sport events.
